Springs vs Spacers - 05/04/06 11:25 AM

I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before (the search function on this forum blows) I'm in the market for an affordable lift kit. Can anyone please tell me the advantages of springs vs spacers. I want enough lift to fit 33's and i'm not a die hard rock crawler.

-thanks!

well, you can fit 33s right now.

as for the lifts...the springs will stiffen your ride alittle, but keep the cvs at a little closer to 'stock' angle. but it's more labor-intensive to install.

the spacers are easier to install and keep most of the stock ride.

I would suggest the springs. My wifes family has done alot of "mudding" mainly with ford's and chevy's. I was told to stay away from spacers because the springs tend to "pop" off of the spacers. I've never seen it happened just relaying a story.

What the springs offer that spacers dont is wheel travel. If you just want lift with the same travel, the spacers will save you some money for sliders.
