Another sway bar thread. - 08/09/07 08:22 PM

I've been searching, and I'm probably going to remove the rear sway bar when I get some new shocks, but people have been saying that without the sway bar, the shocks wear out more easily.

Is the wear a lot differerent from with a sway bar? Would stiffer shocks help at all?

Naw...it doesn't wear the shocks out faster.

It prevents breaking the passenger side shock.

Shocks can't wear out any faster w/o the swaybar. A shock is simply a damper for axle movement when you hit bumps on road. Ragardless whether the swaybar is on there or not the bumps are still being absorbed in the same fashion as the spring rate and damping rate are unchanged.
