EASY ON THE NEW GUY!!!! - 08/12/06 01:22 PM

First post,,with me new Xterra 06 s 2x4..Great ..

I am going to ask the simple question that has been asked MANY times here. Be patient ,my wife and i split after 20 years recently and i just hit my second(I think) Mid -life crisis.

I ordered my AC 3" lift Rancho coil over shock and shaclkles for the back..I want to put some Rims and Tires. I like a little wider, and want to fill up well? 32x11.5 x ?? i hear 31"s look small..

I want a simple classic style baja rim and BFG"s (I think) ..Looking at a thousand pictures and ,well, confused..

Somebody right here, right now, coach me on this project?...
Thanks for patience with a suffering guy...

welcome to it!
i've got the AC coil/shackle lift, and like it...but probably going to add/replace with the Calmini AAL in the rear soon

unfortunately wheels are a bit iffy right now on the 2nd gen Xterra, the brakes in front make it so that many styles of wheels don't fit (plus, you'll need at least 16" rather than 15" wheels).

there are a handful right now that work..Gunner MB, some procomp alloys, AC has a few on their website

you have 31s on right now (265/70R16)..an upgrade to stock OR size (265/75R16) or a 33" size (285/75R16 or 255/85R16) is fun, and doable before the lift.

Thanks for fast reply..I think i have settled on tye 285-75-16. With a pro-comp689 rim 16 " But with a 4.5 backspace ..Will that make them "STICK" out??Too much..The guys at 4x4 said tge same thing...Tough with the 06.. Good rebate now as well.on tires..

I cant believe those 33's fit without lift!

stock BS is 4.5" so they will stick out alittle, but not much
