Yet another newbie... - 19/08/05 03:05 PM

Came back to the Nissan world after the 'assault on the senses' that is my '95 YJ. Needed a vehicle that 1) satisfies my need for speed (traded in a BMW 540) 2) can haul my dogs (gave away my Ford Explorer) and 3) is good in the woods (selling the Wrangler).

I'm confident this truck will treat me as well as my past Nissan vehicles did (two Maximas and a 4x4 clubcab pickup).

Looking forward to getting some tweaks done and getting dirty!

PowrdByX - true statement. The X is not the BMW that's for sure, but the '05X has a lot more kick than the older models. The 540 had some serious get up and go, cornered like it was on rails, and just started smoothing at at about 80, but last winter when I nearly got stuck a few times in - no lie - 1/4" of snow really threw me over the edge. One thing I will say is that even with the 300hp V8, it still got better mileage than the X, tho not by much. At least it doesn't require 91 octane gas.

Oh well. The bride still has her Lexus, there's less cars in the driveway, and I know I can pretty much drive the X wherever the hell I want for the most part.
