another one from the north - 09/01/08 05:37 PM

Hello all. I'm in kelowna B.C. about 4 hour drive from vancouver, and have been in the 4x4 game for about 15 yrs. I don't have an Xterra but the wife is looking like mad for a first generation one. She just doesn't like the newer ones, and I'm planning on doing a sas to it, and paying a small fortune to put the gas axe to it would hurt more.

In case anyone is wondering about my name, it's for my truck. When the cops ask I tell em it means ford up.

Our house sale is due to close in march, and this is her "present" so we'll see what happens

Love Kelowna, by far my favourite place in the Okanagan. My brother lived there for a few. Two words...wake-fest!

Hey, welcome [Wave] Kelowna is one of my favorite places to spend some time in the summer. Good luck on your search for a 1st. gen. I just got mine this past October, and I love it! This is an excellent place to get some vital info. before your purchase. CHEERS from Van-City! [drink]

Don't forget the winters as well. Kelown is gorgeous in the winter. However, that in-bounds avalanche at Big White is pretty sketchy...I loved that mountain too.
