Does any-one know how to make it where the xterra doesnt shut off at 95MPH?

Warning: Potential flaming suspect above. [LOL]

Anyway, honestly, there is a reason why a 'BRICK' can only go 95 safely. As far as removing it, I'd say it's probably hardcoded into the ECM/PCM. Maybe an aftermarket chip????

Can I do it my-self? or would it be just as cheap to let someone at a shop do it?

please fill out the organ donor part of your license after you figure out how to get past 95 mph to pass on whatever's left to someone that needs it.

I mean...if you kill yourself that's bad, yet it's your own business. If you lose control, jump the median and crash head on into a mother of 5 driving a geo metro - well, that's other people's lives, you know?

There are 2 reasons for the governor at 95mph. One is the aerodynamics of the vehicle (or lack thereof), another is the limit of tires. At higher speeds the construction of the tires is not able to withstand the centrifugal force that the spinning tire creates and it literraly rips itself apart. Where do you think most high-speed crashes come from? It's mostly lost control due to exceeding the limits of the tires.

Those organs most likely aren't goingto be much use to anyone else either at that speed.

get an Rx8or some other kind of car if you want some speed, likes someone said earlier, there is a reason why a brick can only go 95 mph!
