Mounting PIAA 510s - 19/01/07 09:48 PM

So I've got all the wiring done (except for changing the switch) for my PIAA 510s. But I need to figure out a way to mount them in the fog holes on my 06. The only way i can do this now is if i rotate the foglight 90 degrees, but then it looks weird from the front because the lines on the lens are going up and down vs. right and left, and the PIAA logo on the lens would be rotated 90 degrees. How have yall put in your aftermarket lamps?

Thanks!

Um, I don't know anything about the Gen2, but you do realize that the reasons you mention for not rotating them 90 degrees are only minor problems compared to the REAL problem with doing that, right? The foglights will be completely useless to you and completely obnoxious and dangerous to oncoming drivers, since the beam pattern would be vertical instead of horizontal. Better figure out a way to mount them the right way!

go to the hardware store and buy yourself some "L" brackets.

hey, tried to PM you, but got no response. Do you know the measurements of the L brackets you're talking about? thanks a lot! smile

I'd suggest doing a search. Someone did a nice write-up on this a while back and had pictures of it too. Looked real nice when they were done and it wasn't that hard to do, if I remember right.

HTH!
