Rims for SAS

Im about to finish my SAS build and i just found out that my 15 inch rims dont fit. They just touch the steering components. Do i have to go to 16inch rims? and if i do any recommendations? thanks

If you're using a D44 front end, then you can stay with 15" rims, just get a different offset so they'll stick out a bit. I ran 15x10 rims with 35" tires, steering wasn't an issue.

thats just it though, i already have a wide offset that makes the tires stick out the fenders about 1 inch already and i would rather not go further for cops not to bother me. what kind of offset you talking about, got a # by any chance?

Have you got pics of the interference?

dont got a picture but ill try to take one tomorow, its pretty much the end of the steering component (tie-rod i think, its the steering arm that goes across the axle towards the brakes).

I getting all the rear components this week for the SAS from Calmini except the leaf pack because they have some delays in that department, does anyone know where i can get a leaf pack? how about those that did the all pro SAS lift on the Xterra what leafs did they use? thanks

Depends on what you're looking for. We've (I say 'we' as in the guys here in Colorado) been putting 63" Chevy half ton springs in there, getting the ass all sorts of flexy. But it's work to move the front hangers.

On the two I have done the first one had a SOA done and kept the three inch Calmini lift from their IFS three inch lift. This made the rear WAY taller than the the front. I have adjusted the coils up to almost match. This is giving me front driveline problems.

The second one is also SOA, but we took the AAL's from the Calmini 3 inch IFS lift out. This has made the back sit only slightly higher than the front. Looks good and no front driveline issues.

I had stock rear springs with the rear SOA and it made it look better. It also didn't look like I had of crap in the back all the time.

But I prefer that look, not the Cal/Chinese syndrome. You know, Dragon Ass.
