In an effort to loose some weight (both on me and the X) and gain back some gas milage I'm selling my roof rack. It is in good condition (some of the paint is chipped off from use and there is a little rust, but nothing some paint can't fix) and comes with some extra mighty mounts for a highlift, a tire carrier option and stickers (NCCX and XOC). All this for $150. New, the rack is $275 and the tire carrier is $65.

I also still have a brand new Yakima Lockjaw bike rack I need to get rid of. $50

I will not ship.

Huey,

I am interested in your rack. I was wondering if you have any pictures of the rack I could see first (just like to see what I'm buying?)

I assume you are giving up all the mounting hardware as well in addition to the high lift mount?

Thanks!

...So, how are you going to carry all your crap when we go wheeling trip? I thought you said that you would go for 33's for the next set...Your spare isn't going to fit underneath... Are you getting a rear bumper? confused

Hey John,
Why don't you try a "basket swap" with Huey? Your old one is much smaller and will help his weight and wind issues, while still giving him the ability to load junk up there when he needs it.

I've never had a real need for that damn thing and I want to eventually get the Calmini rack anyways. As for tires, my cash is tied up in another mod right now. The Scorpians are still in good condition since I hardly drive the X and should last me through next year easily. The spare has lived down there fine (even in Moab) so I guess it will stay till I find a tree that grows money. laugh

I just went over my stuff and some how I'm missing two of the wing nuts, you could easily replace them with some other hardware (no biggie). It doesn't come with locks or mighty mounts, but since I'm missing the wing nuts I'll throw in two extra locks that I have but I need my horizontal mighty mounts for something else, so you'll need to get a set of those ($20?).

BTW, everything is brand new, never been used, just opened. It's just been sitting at my place for a few years now.

Hey All,

Well, we made it to AZ!

Thank goodness I took the rack off your hands Huey. It was loaded pretty good and that little rack I had wouldn't have cut it! I'll have pics in a few days of the load - it's kinda funny. laugh

Well, off to the stores to get stuff we need...be back online sometime. smile
