As I think I mentioned here before, a friend and I usually plan and execute one off-road trip a month or so, our last (nov 15) trip would seem to be our last in the Sequoias for a while, so, now we're looking for dec and jan trips. We want to do the desert in the winter, but are thinking perhaps later in the winter as we'd like to stay there longer than holiday schedules will allow. I think the NCCX mentioned going to Hollister, so I was wondering when. We've got a party of 3(vehicles) wanting to go, thought it would be great if we could sync with the NCCX. So far the weekends dec 20-21 are out(wedding), dec 26-27 questionable(jeep owner having a baby, thinks he might be able to squeeze in a day trip), and the jan 3-4 might also have complications. Other than that, let me know what might be good in dec-jan, I need some help, our Pathfinder friend went jeep cherokee(which she thinks is our equal[stock '91 [Freak] [Freak] ]), and the other guy is a lifted wrangler, I'm getting tired of hearing "it's a jeep thing" Let me know...

Our last trip to Hollister

Hollister sounds like a good mid-Dec. one day trip idea,
hopefully there will be lots of rain by then. wink

How about a NCCX trip to Hollister Dec.13 or 14 or?

Edited to add - Hollister can be fun in the mud! laugh

I'll check with my group, but so far the 13-14 thing sounds good.

Ok, but there is a good chance we'll try to make it both days. 'Course with the drive and all it'll probably be a later start on Sat than the rest of you.

Hey guys, since I only got one vote and I just remembered that I have a company function on Sat, the official date will be Sun Dec 14th.

MV, I don't think any of the club members have camped the before, but the facilities there look good. I think your best bet would be to do a two day trip to make it worth while. We can meet you on day two, and if there are members that can't make it Sun maybe they can hang out with you on Sat?

Anyways, I'm going to start a new thread with a sign-up and send out a group email. smile

As a reminder, we'll still be there sat as well, if anyone is interested, let me know and we can make plans to meet up sat as well.
