When you get the bumper take a good look at the powder coating. Unwrap it even if the wrapping looks to be in good shape. I didn't and had it installed at Offroad Warehouse. After the install the guy pointed out the problem with the powder coating. I wish I had checked it on delivery. The only way Calmini would correct it was if I would pay for shipping it back and then turn around and pay for shipping it to me, again. Live and learn. They did give me a store credit on future mods but I still have a bumper that looks like it got leprosy. frown

Stock: about 30 lb.
ARB: abut 80 lb.
Calmini: 100+ lb. (some say 120 lb.)

That's what I heard. From my experince...Calmini is heavy... It did feel like 100+ lb. [Smoking]

That's probably the weight including the pallet(sp?) that holds the bumper.

I was able to lift it by myself...barely (odd shape doesn't help, either), and I know for sure that I can't lift 200 lb. [Too much XOC]

Got the bumper this afternoon...
looke great!!!
part of the reason is is so heavy (bill of lading lists it at 250 lbs) is that it comes with a skid plate!!!!! COOL!!!!! only one problem...
Bumper, check. Skid plate, check. Bag-O-bolts, check. Instructions on how to put what where- Houston, we have a problem...
Does anyone have a clue as to how the rear skid mounts go on? It looke like I remove the 4 (2 on each side) front diff support/crossmember colts, and put the brackets in.. ok, i can do that.. but what the hell are the 2" x 1/4" round plates with the holes drilled in the center for???? spacers for somthing??

You're talking about the rear end of the front skid plate that goes to the winch bumper, right?

Well, I'm not sure how clearly it would show up, but I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow...or later on today for you.

Do a quick search in parts/accesories for "Calmini bumper install". There's much info- here's a pic from one thread on said topic..

Here's a better pic. Just remember you're not attatching a skid row skid plate behind the crossmember and therefore need not go exactly by the illustration. It clearly however shows where the large Calmini washers should be placed. Happy Skid Plating! smile

thats what i was afraid of..
Ican get 1 bolt on each side to budge.. the rest may require air tools (which i don't have).. oh well..

The kit is great, only problem is a total lack of directions in the kit

Well, it is the funiest thing..
Finished installing the bumper last weekend..
It seems that everyone in the world has got better at driving, all at once..
For instance: all weel, no one has cut me off, pulled out right in front of me in traffic, changed lanes in front of me and hit their breaks..
It is really weird.... Now it seems I am the worst driver on the road [Crybaby] ..
Oh well... Live & Learn...

Bumper, not a scratch..
Skid Plate.. sounded bad a few times.. Havn't looked yet.. only battle dammage to date is a slight (like 1/4 inch.. maybe 1/16 " deep) dimple in the left rocker panel..
