Greetings,

Next month I will be spending a couple days in the Bay area as part of a three week road trip.

I am looking for a good family camping ground north of SF that would allow day trips into Marin and SF, plus being able to head up towards Pt. Reyes, Wine Country etc...

I'am trying to cram way too much into the itineary, so I know I won't be able to do everything.

Todd

There are several camping spots in Marin including:
Samuel P. Taylor Park located in Central Marin on Sir Francis Drake Blvd headed toward Olema. In the heavy redwoods

China Camp on the East side of San Rafael on San Pablo Bay....Great single track mnt biking and hiking

Several hike in camps at Limantour and Marin Headlands..contact Golden Gate National Seashore Parks.

Email if you need futher info....

You can also join us for a jaunt into BRT.

Thanks,

During the summer/fall of 1987 I worked in Fairfax(lumber yard), lived on Mt. Foraker up Lucas Valley Road and took the back way to work most of the time.

I am hoping to see some of these areas again. What is the commute to Petaluma? We are 'roughing' in some KOA type places. I saw that one, KOA, is listed in Petaluma. My son would love to go swimming in the evening.

What is BRT? Just missing an A to be the BART.

Thanks,

Todd

I know these are Mountain Bike focused links, but we camped here at Boggs Mt the night before a bike race. Very cool area to say the least. Just don't go June 7/8 during the bike race event.
