Hey all!
Eagle Lakes area has a lot to offer. There's a ton of wheelin trails going in all directions including the trail down to Eagle Lakes, Pierce OHV area which includes the trail to some great camping along the Yuba River, Summit Peak trail which takes you to ...er Summit Peak, and of course, the Fordyce...famous/infamous for the Sierra Trek. We did the Eagle Lake trail and Pierce trail to Yuba River. Eagle Lake trail would require an X with rails and skids as a minimum. Pierce, in my opinion, could be done bone stock with no damage. We also took Danno's FJ40 down to the first river crossing of the Fordyce only to find the creek running too high for normal humans to cross. One abnormal humanoid in a highly mod'd Jeep tried and failed with a very wet outcome. Oh well!

Here\'s a few of the usual pictures.
I would be open to returning to this area if anyone had an interest.
By the way! Note the beaver lodge to the right of the big tree in picture 2964. We had the opportunity to watch them swimming around and doing what beavers do.

Man Gary, it sounds like you had a great time! I'm still trying to work some issues out with my Pathfinder...and waiting for that Calmini D21 steering! Lookin at your pics really makes me wish I could have gone! Maybe later this summer. I'll probably be out of action til mid/late July.

Cool, looks like a good spot to head for. I'll have to make it out next time.
