Hey guys and gals, my company is doing a mandatory shut-down that week and I'm trolling for stuff to do.

Anyone interested in doing some kind of extended trip then? I've got some trails in mind depending on who can get time off.

Count me in. What trails are you thinking of? I can make the whole week if need be. Let me know.

Cool Josh, here are some tentative plans.

Shaver Lakes area wheeling (near Dusy Ershaim/Fresno). We will set up a base camp and do a bunch of day trips on some hard trails.

Trails will be rated at anywhere from a 7 to almost a 9 so figure almost Rubicon-like terrain so prepare accordingly for mods. Also plan to carry extra fuel.

Right now the base camp may be Brewer Lake , it's central to a number of trails in that area. Other trails of interest are:

- Strawberry/Mirror Lakes
- Bald Mountain
- Swamp Lake

Tentative dates right now are Sun (7/1) through till Thurs (7/5) or Friday.

That's all the info I have so far, but at the trip draws near we can nail down details.

Hmm...after some reading Swamp Lake might be bit too much for us.

Yeah there some fun stuff up there with great scenery. I would be interested for at least a couple of days. Strawberry, Red, Mirror Lakes comes highly recommended.

I ran Swamp Lake late last summer, couple of tougher rock gardens (7-8). With a lockers, 33’s, lift, skids its doable IFS. Pic’s at:

Keep me posted
