Well, it is a sad, sad thing cry , but also a great day of joy laugh

Last night, I just had to get out of the house. Somehow, I ended up at Huffines looking at Jeeps, just for the hell of it. Out of my price range. As I was leaving, the salesman mentioned they had a used 2004 jeep Rubicon. We crunched some numbers and things worked out. I am now the proud owner of a Solar Yellow Jeep Rubicon.

I love Nissan, but to get the X where I wanted her would have required a ton of money (sas, lockers front and rear and the list goes on) This was just a deal I couldn't pass on.

Still planning on hanging out and attending events, if you guys will let me.

Uhhhhhhhhh, you get my vote for Impulse Buy Of The Year. smile

What did you do with your new skids from Keif, your lighting and all that? Still on the truck? What about the ARB you just bought? Tell me you at least saved your seat covers! smile

Enjoy the Ruby!

I'm gonna go get it (the X) from the lot today (I drove the Ruby all day)and gonna strip it down of all aftermarket stuff i can and sell that off to anybody interested.

Yeah, impulse buy of the year. I'm kinda like that. But, then again, I have wanted a jeep for longer than I could drive. Things just happened to come together last night.

Sorry to hear you're ditchin' the X, but you made a good choice on a replacement. I had a jeep TJ before the X but the ex-wife got it in the divorce. If you interested, I'd love to take the ARB and skids off your hands. I could trade you a 300 dollar gift certificate to 4wheel parts the wife just gave me for my birthday. Then you could start modding the Rubicon. laugh Let me know what you think.

If you HAVE the ARB bumper still I just might be interested. Then again does that model fit the 2001?

I don't have an ARB. I had made a deal with a guy in McAllen to trade a bumper and $400 for his. He's is coming up to Big D on the 22nd. Still need to get ahold of him and tell him the deal is off. I'm sure he'll repost the offer when he finds out.

Aww crap. I would probably still be interested in the sliders when and if you decide to sell 'em. Enjoy the Jeep.

[Finger] you too, Kraig. I'll still wheel with you.

Abiel, that looks like mine, minus the hard top. I only got soft.

Umm....

well I just heard and im not sure what to think. But I do know that I GOT DIBS....

Really Jason let me know what you got and I'll see what I can do (ARB, Lift, skids and steering). Im sure the lights are going on the jeep, but anything you don't keep, let me know. Congrats it is a good choice. But its a JEEP damn you!!!

The only problem with the Rubicon is that it's sits too low and doesn't have enough flex. Slap a 6" Full Traction long arm lift on it smile It's fully bolt on.

You will be amazed at the difference in capability over your Xterra. If you have any questions on Jeeps or where to get parts shoot me an email I've had a CJ-5 for a decade.

Sorry, yeah skids. My mistake. Have fun with the jeep. By the way, lemon Pledge works wonders on the plastic windows for cleaning and removing scratches.

Jason,

Don't know what you are looking to get for the Rubi, but don't forget, you are still a club member, and ProComp has a huge selection of Jeep stuff (at 20-25% off for ya smile )

Thanks, Scott. I have no idea what I am gonna do to the Jeep. It already has 31 MTs. I am not planning on doing a Sl anytime soon. Got to do more research and just take it off road to see how it performs stock, before I can decide what to do, if anything.
