why not make the site free to browse but charge to post. People could buy a block of like 25 posts at a time for a set amount.....this might make those that post just to attack others think twice or at least slow down.......make it cheap enough so that almost everyone can enjoy the right to post yet the site would generate a little income to help offset the operating costs.......

....and the idiot that has a post avg of 223 posts per month can help maintain the site.......

A stupid suggestion .... and here's why...

If an X owner posts a question related to his truck.. it will cost him some money. It will also cost money for other X owners to post answers to the problem.

There would be fewer people posting questions and even fewer people posting answers to problems. The site would not be the valuable resource on the Xterra that it has become.

and Madman would have to refinance his house.

The Supporting Membership offered a few nice things for a couple cents a day, and once the site is converted to the new format (this weekend, finally, really, seriously) it will be reinstated with hopefully more goodies.
