Did anyone just see the idiot that put a tow strap around himself (with hooks) and back to the truck to get unstuck? Un--freakin--believable!! What a f#%#ing moron. And the camera just keeps on rolling as the guy keeps going after getting through the mud (tow strap guy still strapped on) just wow!!

I don't think a pic would be up yet. It's on right now. Picture a truck stuck in mud. A driver is in the truck. Another dude is outside the truck and puts a tow strap around his waist. (the strap starts on the truck goes around him and back to the truck). So the driver floors it, dude is standing in front of the truck, being used like a tree or rock. It worked, but it could've been really, really bad.

I saw it and was wondering if I was going to see the first reality show death on National TV.

The Race website isn't updated yet...I think that's because the West Coast hasn't seen it yet.

Last Sunday's episode of The Amazing Race. The driver didn't stop once he was out of the mud and his "helper" moved to the side to let him pass. He figured the driver would stop considering his pal was still attached to the front tow hook. [LOL]

He didn't for a sec and damn near dragged the guy to the ground. It was priceless.

Here are the 2 geniouses involved.

Sorry...really sorry. Should have led that with a "spoiler warning." My mistake. Edited my original post to take out the reference to the ending.

Hahah, the commentary on the official site reads exactly like this thread - referred to it as a Darwin Award moment. smile

^Ah the beauty queens. laugh

I'm having a hard time deciding who I want to see win this season. My money is on Rob & Amber, but I wouldn't mind seeing Joyce and Uchenna pull out a second victory.

My predictions on next eliminated team: Team Kentucky (your thoughts?)

You know, I'd root for Rob and Amber if they hadn't taken their 15 minutes of Fame and Stretched it into 2 hours...
Each were on their own episodes of Survivor , they met (and Amber won) on the Survivor All-stars - then they were on The Amazing Race (Season 7) and then had their own Wedding Special on CBS...

I've had enough of them.

I'm rooting for Uchenna and Joyce, Joe and Bill or Teri and Ian to win.

I think Mirna and Charla will be the next team to go - they only go as far as other teams will help them go.

David and Mary (team Kentucky) stopped to wait and help Mirna and Schmirna at various points in the last leg - that won't be happening again.

I don't watch this show, but damn - you've given me two very good reasons to start. [Too much XOC]

Yeaa - I think Mirna & Co will be out next time too. They are fucking useless with directions and slow as hell on foot. Surprised they did as well as they did in the season they were in previously.

Rob and Amber are annoyingly good at getting the job done. It's not gonna be easy for anyone to beat them.

I wonder something... since the XOC Dead Pool 07 is off to a slow start (no complaints about that), would anyone be interested in a "who's next to be eliminated from the Amazing Race?"

Are there enough fans around to do something like this? I'm tempted to start a new thread, but I'd rather see if anyone's interested first. smile

I've had enough of them.

You forgot their reality series, Rob and Amber: Against the Odds. I'm with you though, I can't stand him for being such a self-centered jackass and her for putting up with it. They're poster children for dysfunctional relationships.

Tell me this, since I'm late to the game of seeing them on TV. When she talks, she kind of picks up one side of her mouth...like Rob does too. Did she always do that, or is it some kind of weird subconsious imitation she picked up from him?

You know, Team Kentucky is everything the stereotypical trailer park resident should be, but I find their naivete' and humble nature somehow refreshing and endearing. Like when they talked about suiting up as firefighters in their other TAR appearance and the guy said something like, "Doing something like that, for five minutes it made you feel like you was somebody important." They may not be sophisticated, but they seem very genuine and that's cool in my book. They're not dumb, either...she figured out that copper mine name thing in nothing flat. laugh

Ah memories! laugh

Luckily I was spared the embarrassment of ever misusing "root" when I was a uni student in Newcastle, NSW. I fondly recall during orientation week (O-Week) being lectured by the president of the school about words Americans should refrain from using while living in Australia. One of my favorites was fanny! wink
