Anyone done this? I've seen pics of X's without it along the doors, and I love the smooth look of it...are they just attached with adhesive, or are they drilled in? Just would like to know so that when/if I pull them off, I'm not surprised..thanks

Dave.

Adhesive. Heat them with a hair dryer and start peeling.
Then get all bummed when someone dings your door, buy a new set, and put them back on.

here's another hint, after you heat them up and remove them you'll still have adhesive all over your door. spray on some WD-40 and let it sit for a minute then take a plastic scraper or something that wont scratch the paint and rub off the ahesive residue.

Be aware too that no matter how much buffing and cleaning you do there is a good chance that there will be an outline that remains forever due to the paint being covered up.

Hehe - I waited ten extra days before picking up my Xterra, just so the body side mouldings COULD be installed.

What Ian said (sort of) - you should think about how long it will remain smooth if you remove them. I'd say by your third trip to the grocery store...

No problem...I thought of that just after I posted about the grocery store parking lot..I've noticed a lot of people being really ignorant when opening doors...so I'll probably keep them on...thanks for the replies

Dave.

A good set of sliders can help too, just the other day the door of our Civic swung open towards the X parked beside it, but it hit my Shrockworks slider before it hit the door skin wink
