Hey, BP...Every couple days, I usually wash her down with a hose, and dry it off...If nec, I'll hit the less smooth spots with a lil' QD...I haven't been able to hit the whole truck with a coat of wax, but I'm getting there...In the meanwhile, she's still pretty damn smooth...I guess DD is right about the H20 spots...To a normal person, she looks great...I guess if ya look close enough on any vehicle you're gonna find swirls, spots, scratches, etc...Can't stop em, can only hope to control them...

Yep, we'll catch each other eventually.

I think that it's just *wrong* that the spots underneath are all reserved... My X will get WET, damnit! Hehhe.

yep, esp. the fact that one of those spots is reserved for my supervisor, who drives that POS toyota celica which looks as if he 3 steps on a daily basis (for what reason I don't know!). but, we SHOULD make an effort to park close together, just to p-off people! later

I hope I'm not beating a dead horse but I worked at a car wash when I was in high school. I have a Salsa X that I bought in Jan '01. Before that I had a black '98 Frontier. My old boss told me that when beads of water sit on your paint they collect dust which sounds logical. If not wiped dry quickly, when they evaporate they leave the dirt and it bakes into the paint, especially black because it draws so much heat. You may also want to make sure it's not sap. It can blow from trees like rain drops and look like drops but SOOO much harder to get off.
