I picked up my new Xterra yesterday. I do a lot of highway driving and want to protect the hood from rock chips. I don't like the hood bra (gets dirt underneath then scratches) or the deflector (too hard to wash underneath) so I'm considering a product called Chip Guard made by 3M. Has anyone had this installed? They have to order in a special kit and professionally install it, and it appears to be a pretty good product. I found them at http://www.chipguard.com/.

I've got an invinca-shield on my truck. No complaints, easy to install. I did the standard kit, the A-pillars, the mirrors. 3M also makes this and you do it yourself.

Thanks for the info. Because of the exchange rate the Invinca-shield is a lot more expensive at about $270CAD, and you do the work yourself. The Chip Guard is $160CAD installed and guaranteed by the installers.

Try one of these. Works great on my "X". 45 bucks each.
