I just bought an 07 and am looking for something to lay in the back to protect the interior plastic from scratching. I was going to get some I/O carpet and m,ake something, but I was wondering if Nissan made anything or if there was something better than carpet available in the aftermarket.

I bought the Nissan factory trunk mat and it works great. It prevents scratches and also keeps things from sliding around. The only drawback is that with the carpet in you can't really use the tie down system. However, with the carpet surface things don't slide around anyway so you don't need it.

We got the carpeted back mat also from Nissan.
but if carpet isn't your thing, then a rubber cargo box mat from a pickup will do. Just trim as needed.
Lots cheaper also.
Lastly there is a cargo tray that looks good, but can't think where I saw it.

I think about $60 plus shipping at Courtesy,
our dealer was about $70 plus tax. A little expensive but what dealer accesory isn't?

There was a post somewhere on this site about a clever workaround. The owner got a 3'x5' rubberized mat from Target and cut it out to fit the back of the truck. The rubber base will prevent the mat from sliding and allow for easy clean ups since you no longer have to deal with a carpet.
