Thought I would post some pictures of a little mod I did for the winter. I lined the inside floor of my truck with a heavy duty plastic. Doesn't look to bad but sure will protect the carpet this winter from all the salt and crap!

Check out the pics

[Huh?] hmmm ... interesting ... for some reason, it kinda reminds me of the movie "Coming to America" ... the scene with the Jerry-curl sauce on the sofa ... pretty creative and inexpensive idea i must say... does water build/pool up and swish around after a while when the ice everyone tracked in melts???

Good job!

That's a little too much work though IMO, especially with it being so cold out and me not having a garage to work in. [Uh Oh !]

I hope Ontario is dryer than Ohio because it can trap moisture under the plastic and start to stink like old socks.

Looks like the plastic on some new cars - and the first thing I'd do is rip the stuff off.

dave and xtoy - it's just cheap carpet, rubber mats will do

I give it two days before it's torn, should have got some Husky Liners [ThumbsUp] and would save you the time and money since that plastic wont last too long.

i applaud your effort, but personally looks like too much work for me.
it seems like overkill since the little moisture/salt that rubber floor mats won't take care of wouldn't be a big problem. it's not like it'll eat through your frame or anything.
but if you live in heavy snow, i guess it never hurts to be INCREDIBLY careful.
