Thought I would post some pictures of a little mod I did for the winter. I lined the inside floor of my truck with a heavy duty plastic. Doesn't look to bad but sure will protect the carpet this winter from all the salt and crap!

hmmm ... interesting ... for some reason, it kinda reminds me of the movie "Coming to America" ... the scene with the Jerry-curl sauce on the sofa ... pretty creative and inexpensive idea i must say... does water build/pool up and swish around after a while when the ice everyone tracked in melts???

That's a little too much work though IMO, especially with it being so cold out and me not having a garage to work in.

I hope Ontario is dryer than Ohio because it can trap moisture under the plastic and start to stink like old socks.

I give it two days before it's torn, should have got some Husky Liners and would save you the time and money since that plastic wont last too long.

i applaud your effort, but personally looks like too much work for me.
it seems like overkill since the little moisture/salt that rubber floor mats won't take care of wouldn't be a big problem. it's not like it'll eat through your frame or anything.
but if you live in heavy snow, i guess it never hurts to be INCREDIBLY careful.
