Has anyone seen an Xterra in which the owner has taken the gear basket and flipped it upside down? I have seen two of them and am wondering what the purpose is? Is it to give the appearance of a faux spoiler?

I haven't seen anything in Lexington like that. Did you see them in Georgetown or Lexington? And again, glad that you are ok!

That picture looks about right. It isn't hard to spot coming from the other direction on the road. Looks really awful I think. And the purpose????
I have seen them in Georgetown and Lexington, KY X.

I bet the sunroof works that way. I would just take the basket off since it is useless in either configuration.

I think all that person needs to complete the effect would be to take a rear air deflector and mount that upside-down. Heh. Oh, wait, then install the 2" SLR shackles (they have 3" ones, too, right?) in the rear and lower the front with the torsion bars. Ahahaha.
