I've noticed on some Xterras (with lazy owners, apparently) that the grill and front bumper look dried out and crappy. What do you guys use on those parts to keep them looking good? I see that a lot of people use back-to-black on their moldings etc. Is Armor All acceptable on the grill?
Thanks! Markk

Armor all works but isn't nearly as good as Mother's B2B.

Despite the name, it isn't specifically for "black" plastic. It makes the grey plastic on the X look brand-spanking new (other than scratches), you have to see it to believe it.

Thanks for the tip! I put some B-2-B on it this weekend and it looks great! How long does it last before I need to reapply it? Thanks again, Markk

I can't find B2B anywhere... where do you buy it at? Forgive my stupidity, I know this has probably been asked many times.

Back to Black looks great for a short time, but washes off very easily. Sometimes it even streaks on the paint after a rain (like from the BSM). And it doesn't get the wax off of the trim as well as it is supposed to. But while its on, it can help make your Xterra look brand new.

"Back to Black" is awesome. Get some, use it. 'Nuf said.
It lasts for about a month for me, through rainstorms and washing the truck and looks very, very good. It totally restores the shine and luster and hides pits from road debris and scratches.
For those that think it sucks, perhaps it's in how you put it on... I use a small kitchen sponge that was soaked and wrung out well, with a quick shot of B2B. Wipe it on well, especially textured surfaces and then finish with a once over, smooth stroke. Let it sit for about ten minutes and then buff it with a soft cloth. Voila!

Soaked in B2B or water?

BP: I'm the on who tipped you off about using sponges to put it on so I doubt its how I apply it.

Water. In other words, use a damp sponge to apply the B2B. Why would you soak the sponge in B2B, wring it out (wasting it) then apply a dab? Brent

What Brent said. I don't know what the problem could be, it's worked for me beautifully since day one, B2B...

Nobody will notic your grill if you have enough lights and an ARB to hold them all.

Brent Hi Brent, That's what I figured, but doesn't that dilute the B2B, or cause it to streak? Markk

Markk - no. You just want the sponge damp enough to be a sponge, not hard as a brick. That's why I said, get it wet and wring it out well. After a trim piece here or a bumper there, the water will be mostly B2B anyway. Sponges don't work well bone dry...

Hee hee hee, yeah, if you used a totally dry sponge, you might as well use a piece of tree bark.
