I got some bugs and road tars on the grill so I used auto prep spray can that I got at the local parts store. It suppose to strip wax, tar, bugs and other containments on auto surfaces. Anyway, the silverish finish came off. Is it cover under the warranty?

You might be able to get it covered under warranty if you deny (lie) that you put the spray on and told them it just faded like that.

Hmm, this is that 1 in a 1000th time that the whole "first test in an inconspicuous area" would have come in handy.

I'm going to pull the front part of the grill off and send it out to get it chrome. It doesn't look like there is a clear coat on top so maybe that's why it just rubbed off.
