Okay i have done the search yada yada ... blah blah blah .. here's my ?? i have a 2002 s/c and i was wondering what is the best way to polish the exhaust tip? i tried metal polish but the darn thing is still kinda tarnished...Is there any certain polish that i should use?

I've used Simichrome Polish and Blue Away on my motorcycle exhaust with good results bought from a motorcycle shop. Smash the Xterra exhaust on rocks a few times and you won't worry about it as much. smile

I just mentioned this on another post moments ago, but i'll post here also. Last week I bought a crome tip from Autozone which is about nine inches long and slips over the exsisting tail pipe. You drill two holes, and screw in the crome cover. I looks really nice and it only cost about $10 bucks.

That is a good price, however the S/C Models come with a nice tip already. They do not polish up well. I don't do anything to polish mine, at one time I worked at a fast food establishment, we used a stainless steel spray that shined up realy nice...try a food service wholesaler..this is not a joke.
