Last night was my first campout in my new X. With the seat down and my inflatable mattress, it was really quite comfortable. I had the interior light on, reading a John Gierach book (great flyfishing tale spinner). After about a 1/2 hour the light went out. I switched it on and off, but couldn't get it to go back on. Went to sleep thinking I blew a fuse and troubled by the issue. In the morning the lights worked fine and still do. What gives? Is there some kind of timer built in to avoid accidental battery drain?

I think I'll take the 2001 please....

Thats it exactly, to reset the timer open and close a door. It talks about it in the manual somewhere.

Huh? I definitely remember leaving one of the interior lights on over night, it was still on in the morning. And last time I went camping somebody was using my rear power plug for a compressor to fill an air mattress, the hatch was open for hours and the light stayed on the whole time.

I'll have to dig out my manual to see if what you say is true.

I think if you have two doors or more open at once that will keep the light on even after the 1/2 hour mark. If you have the doors closed and the lights stay on after the 30 seconds or so then double check all the doors. I found my dome light on one morning and I checked all the doors and the tail was open just a little. It was locked but just not closed all the way.

Also try the "search" first.

I don't know if this has been covered before but everyone else is adding it to there post. (JK)
