I have a 2001 X SE V6 4x4. It comes with 3 cigar plug outlets. 2 up front & 1 in the rear. Does anyone know what the maximum amperage is out of EACH plug? Also, does anyone know if they go to separate or the same fuse? Thanks gang!

They are on seperate fuses, but I do not think they are alone on those fuses. As to the amperage/wattage, check the owners manual. If I recall correctly, it is spelled out fairly clearly in there, but I do not remember the figures or I would tell you.

Actually, the owners manual IS what confused me. It says it is rated at 10 AMPS. It leads you to believe that all 3 go into 1 10 AMP fuse. NOT! After talking to several techs at different dealerships and doing schematics of the fusebox, it appears that the front 2 outlets go into one fuse and the other into another fuse. Now, the owners manual rated the fuses at 10 AMPS but the fuses are 15 & 20 AMPS. I thought at first maybe someone put the wrong size fuses in but the fusebox covers do read 15 & 20 AMPS. Now I'm even more confused. I'm going to buy an assortment pack of replacement fuses and plug stuff in and see what happens. More later.

Actually, I blew all the fuses trying to use a cheap a$$ light attachment from Target.

If I'm not mistaken... The cig lighter goes to a fuse by itself (it's in the X's dash fusebox).

The front accessory and rear accessory outlet go to ONE fuse located in the fuse box under the hood.

I'm not sure what they are rated at though...

The cig port (*) should only be used for that purpose, while the front/rear accessory ports can be used for "accessories".
Sounds good to me!

* Does anyone actually smoke in their X?? I haven't even considered farting in mine yet!
