#188266 - 09/04/01 06:37 PM Console Gauges and Air Locker Switches

Some here said they wanted to see my photos of my new console layout so here they are:

The console gauges are a Wika 1.5" 200 psi air pressure gauge purchased from onboardair.com and an Autometer Autogauge purchased from Summit Racing Equipment. The switch with the two LED's, one of which is lit, is the battery switch. In the up position it reads voltage at the main battery that starts and runs the primary systems (Nissan factory). In the middle position it turns the gauge off completely and in the lower postion it reads the auxilary battery voltage that runs the accessories. The panel was made from plexiglass.

The switches are the standard ARB switches. The left one runs the air compressor and the right one the rear air locker. I left room to the right of the rear locker switch to install another switch for the front locker down the road.

As for the first gear thing, XOC is correct. I put it in first gear to shoot the picture since I needed a clear photo and was shooting from the back seat. As for gauge visibility when driving, no problem. Everything was planned around visibility and seeing the gauges is no problem. The voltmeter is backlit. The air pressure gauge is not. Since I needed an air pressure gauge in an unusual size, I had to take what would fit. Anything bigger than that would not fit in the area intended.
