what do you guys think about this OBDII reader? will it work on our Trucks?

The X is fully ODBII compliant and the reader in the link should work just fine. It is, however, only a reader.

What it won't do is allow you to monitor sensor data like a OBDII-to-PC interface will. Sensor data is only important if you want to repair the problem yourself.

I picked this one up last year. Works great and offer a bit more flexibility than most I've seen in the price range.

Auto Xray

How do you advance the timing? I noticed the scanner lets you view the timing.

Also, does montoring the fuel system allow for calculating MPG on the fly calculation?

You can't change valve timing, ignition timing is pretty simple, loosen the screw at the base of the distributor and rotate the distributor by hand.

I've got an AutoX-Ray also, with the pc link (got the pro pack), and it's been great. Nissan vehicles won't give me as much data as Ford/Gm (I added the enhanced data options for those also), but it's still useable.

I got the Xray for a lot of different vehicles, not just Nissan, and I needed to read older ADL and ford codes aswell as new OBDII, so the Xray made sense.

It's constantly being updated too... Xray does a good job of keeping it up to date.

If you are just working on the one nissan truck, however, I'd buy something cheaper. I needed portability and convenience, and a wide range of compatibility.
