I've noticed that the dark grey 'clamp-like' piece that connects one of the crossbars to the main bars that run parallel with the vehicle is broken. Hopefully that's clear; it's a tough part to explain. I've gone to a dealership but they're telling me that I have to buy the whole crossbar instead of just that one piece that is broken. Does anyone have a part like this they're not using?

Which "half" is broken, the larger piece that is bolted to the crossbar, or the smaller piece that does the clamping? I might have one or the other, have to check when I get home.
