Nothing too big. Just some stupid ass kids ran thru my street on the weekend and randomly spray painted stripes on random cars. They put a grey stripe across my hood. Lucky for me, there was dew on the hood, and the paint never really got a chance to set, so It rubbed off with Rubbing alcohol pretty easily. They tagged alot of cars on my street as well. It looked like everyone was able to rub it out with Alcohol and so no permanent damage was done.

My street got off easy, on the next street over, they smashed out windows.

Taking care of this did make me late to meet up with NCCX on an xcursion, and I was never able to find them at the OHV - so I had to wheel alone.

Um...won't the rubbing alcohol harm it?

I don't know how bad the rubbing alcohol will affect the paint. I rinsed it off after I was done, just in case.

Side note: when I installed my adhiesive the side moldings, the instructions recommended that you apply rubbing alcohol prior to applying the 3m adhiesive. It depolarizes the surface or something, so I *assume* that its safe to use on the paint of the Xterra. (Considering that I bought the official Nissan Side Moldings from Nissan)

Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) won't hurt the paint. An ethanol / methanol mix (denatured alcohol) almost certainly will.

Meguiar's "Cleaner Wax" has just enough abrasive in it to remove fresh spray paint. Of course, it helps to have a coat of wax on the truck already, but this is much safer on your finish than rubbing alcohol.

You could also try using a clay bar wax....That's what alot of autobody shops use to clean off overspray...It's worth a shot...

I'm sure the dickless weasel that stole the saddlebags off my brother's Harley probably got $15 for 'em which is a gold mine when you need another fix.
