How many clubs are using Yahoo web hosting? Pros? Cons? Our club is looking for a new home, any suggestions?

Thanks,

stay away from yahoo, unless you want pop ads up the wazoo. Post this on SCCX's board and you will get nothing but complaints.

Why is Yahoo still in business ?

I just went to the site, and honestly, it's the first time I have been there in over a year. Their search engine sucks, their news feeds suck, there are ads everywhere... bleah... [Geek]

I'm not sure if you're talking about their web hosting or their "yahoo clubs". The yahoo clubs is completely lame.

If you're talking about web hosting, I used them for a couple years with great luck. Their reliability gets an A+. My site never went down in the two years I had 'em. Their prices, however, are another story. That was why I left them for greener pastures.

There are no ads with yahoo's web hosting unless you're using one of the free Geocities accounts. If you're using a pay account, they're no different than any other web host.

We are basically starting over from scratch with our site. I got our sponsor dealer to pay for our new site. I've heard good things about nomonthlyfees.com and a couple others. I just want a clean, sharp looking site up and running as soon as possible. I need to find some internet savy people to help us out, because we could definitely use some help with the putting together of the site.

we use Yahoo egroups in SXFC. Seems to work ok. Nice to be able to send one email and it goes to everyone at once.
