Its essentially just closing a PFO...with an arthroscopic thing that's like two facing umbrella canopies that clamp the hole from both sides. The PFO is where her clots are passing through to that part of her brain.  I don't get WHY the FDA won't allow it...it doesn't look THAT risky to me at least.
