At the end of Hell's Revenge at GoneMoab we were very pleasantly surprised to find XSnoopy from Florida waiting for us. As we reminisced & waited for the group to catch up the kids played around joyfully as we watched Carlton (one of the other whites) get hung up/tipsy on a ledge from a crazy line. We then went up baby's Loins Back (been up the real one 3x's now) and proceeded to Arches NP the back way through Willows Wash. Arch in the windows shows has massive they are with Sierra, Kristina, and Aaron pictured. Sure was great seeing Snoopy and family again for a few hours, made my day :-) even more prefect.

C? "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime." Let me guess. HAMM radio in one hand, cell phone in the other and a 35mm remote release on the steering wheel next to your auto pilot/auto ass wash toggle? Good pics though!

Looks great!!!
When I first read the post, I thought Brian meant the geo version of you!
It's great that you made it all the way to Moab!! My Gosh, that's a long drive from Florida. I'm sure it was worth it, and you all had a good time. Sounds like it!!!

I saw a 4x4 going down "lion's back" in Utah on the TV program "real TV" where he lost his brakes and lost control and plunged down (nobody died, just seriously hurt)...but I was just wondering if this the same one on this forum....

The "He" you speak of was a "She." Apparantly, the guy drove the bronco up and he let his girlfriend/wife drive back down. She rode the breaks to the failure point and FLEW down the last 50 feet or so. (According to an interview I saw about the incident).

Offroadx posted a link to the Bronco riding off of the Lion's Back trail a few months ago. (I searched but I could not find the link)
If I remember correctly, the dude drove up and down that more than once, to prove to his girlfriend that it was ok. She finally worked up enough nerve to drive the last time. Of course by then the brakes had heated up quite a bit from the repeated trips - combined with her riding the brakes the last time all contributed to the brake failure. If you watch the video - she did a fantastic job of keeping the truck on track, and it only actually fell off at the last section - which was somewhat close to the ground and impacting on (relatively) soft sand.

Yeah she actually did a pretty good job, "any landing you can walk away from..."

Don't know if anybody saw it: the TV show "Worst Case Scenario" featured that Lion's Back bit, then invited the woman to "face her fears" and drive down it again. This time she had a professional guide riding shotgun...she made it Sadly, it was in a Jeep, not an Xterra P.S. I think there is a link to the video posted here somewhere...OffroadX had posted it but I couldn't get the link to work here

Hey Snoopy...saw you driving down Gulf Beach Highway near my house the other day, last Thursday. Heard you before I saw you. Good luck with your flight training and don't let your classmates land in my back yard!
