Thanks rfritz! [ThumbsUp] How was the install? Also where did you order it from?

Hattrik, you just have AAL's and torsion bar crank right? I'm working on my suspension lift, but am thinking about going ahead and getting a bumper right now. Just wondering how things have worked with just the suspension setup you have and the ARB. I have Calmini shackles and torsion bar crank...

Yep. Thats all I can afford right now while trying to pay for a wedding. So far there have been no issue. The front end does bounce a little more than with the palstic bumber but nothing you can't handle. Upgrading shocks would help too.

rfirtz....I noticed that you have shackle mounts on your ARB. Have you given a good tug on those? If so did you notice the metal bending or anything of the sort?

Did you reinforce the back in anyway other than the plate you get with them?

I made reinforcement plates from a section of a steel beam. It is 1/4 or more thick. My idea was that when I install my winch, I will be able to get myself out of trouble by looping my winch line through a snatch block hooked to a tree-saver then back to my shackle mount. If that doesn't work, I am going to weld them over. I saw a post for some type of rotating shackle that I might check out. As for the lift, it consists of Calmini UCA, Bilstein shocks, Sway Away Torsion Bars and a SLR 3 piece add-a-leaf and 2" shackles. No problems except for fried centerlink, so I haven't had it off-road because I am trying to wring the last life out of it before spending the loot for the Calmini steering system. Oh yeah - the tires are BFG Mud Terrain 265/75R16. Except in this close-up they are stock size AT's. Also - When I bought the shackles from Expedition Exchange, they told me the best way to install them is to make sure that they are mounted through the winch plate and have their own backing plate.

Have you used those shackles as a recovery point though? Have you noticed a lack of rigidity?
