#235459 - 28/12/06 06:43 PM 2" BL and PML done!

Sorry for only having one kinda crappy pic, I'll get more in the daylight tomorrow. The BL took me about 8 hours (still need to touch up on the front bumper), the PML took me about three (damn stuck shackles). Not too bad for first time/by myself, never would have been able to pull it off without searching this board! Thanks everyone.

Before:

After:

Can't wait until I can afford some real tires, and I can put these back on my RC car. Oh, and if I take off the step rails, my 5'-nothing wife would probably divorce me (she warned me of this).

The truck looks good.

Get a set of sliders made for the x with no bl added. They would act like the step rails and give protection. I had that fight with my wife many times. Now I have the steps for her, but no lift frown

That's what I have now. I've got the PML with the 2"BL and I have regular Calmini sliders.

Personally, I have no issues getting in my truck (me being 6'7") but some of my shorter friends do, so they can still use the slider to get in there.

What's with marrying short women?

It just makes the kids short, and that's just cruel and selfish.

Get a tall athletic girl with good hang time, who can just leap ito the seat w/o assistance.

Jeez, all this "my wife is too tiny to climb way up into my big bad truck" whining.

Get a step stool...pull it out when the little women are riding.

laugh

PS - The truck looks much better!

Not true. My wife is very short but I'm 6' 2". Both my boys are tall.

LOL

So, I guess that means you could take her in a fair fight?

laugh

So - the steps can come off, if you want them to.

laugh

Besides - Now its your GRAND KIds that will carry that recessive short gene...

[whistling]Short people, they got...[/whistling]

You post-jacking bastards [Finger]

here's a few more pictures of it:

Yeah, I need some lift liners, I hate being able to see through my truck.

Can't wait until my tax return, 33"s are past due!

looks good, it could be worse, you could have big ol' nasty gaps in your front and rear bumpers.

Good job! [ThumbsUp]
My short wife had the same problem with our old
Bronco: so I attached some rope to the 4x4 lever and just threw it out any time she wanted in. laugh
