Go Back to Part 2 of Installation

The finished product, unmounted. Notice how the screw caps really finish the look.

The completed project. Nice!

Return to Part 1 of Installation

It looks great, but I was wondering what will happen when it gets scratched up from rocks and other stuff. Or will it not scratch? Looks great though. I am definitely interested in all the how to details. [ThumbsUp]

Found how to details, thanks. Still wondering about scratching though. With all the sand they put on the road here in CO, we replace our windshields every 2 years.

Don't follow so close maybe ?

We have sand on the roads for maybe 30 days out of an entire year, a windshield should last a lot longer than that.

XOC,

Got rockblasted going up 70 six months after buying the X. New windshield please. Oh and by the way, I don't drive to close, it's called rocks skipping up on the road and hittng the glass. Thanks for the concern though DAD!

Just trying to clarify your generalization that you have to replace your windshield every two years.

Ok, your off the hook. I guess I should have added that if I had the money I would replace the windshield every 2 years. Remember, you live in the cool part of the state, where they aren't afraid of the snow. We get one inch and they are dumping sand a the liquid salt all over the place. We even had the dude who plows a lot behind us plowing, I guess he needed the money!

On the sunroof pictured above there is no shade black on the glass. Was it removed, and if was how do you do it? Living in vegas i should probably keep all the shade i can get though. Either way it looks really good.
