went to go to the beach at night to watch the shooting stars and just hang out for a few hours and a guy ask me if I can help him out.. He has a Samaurai and its stuck up on some rocks.. I get down to where he is at and realize that the only way to pull him out w/o rolling him over is to go down on the shore. Note this beach has incredibily soft sand. and this is what ended up happening.. But I did get the Sami out.. It wasn't until 5am that I was finally able to get a hold of a friend to come out and pull me out..









luckly we just missed high tide by about 40 minutes..

Its a classic.

No he stayed around till I was out.. It ended up taking my friend with a lifted toyota with 36x16.5 Baja Claws a few trys doing a mild sling shot to get me out.. We tried several ways of getting me out but the sand was just to soft and I was in too deep..

Do you have a hi lift and a shovel? That and a few pieces of plywood would have been a godsend.

Yea I had a hi-lift and a shovel but no wood or anything else that could have covered enough sand to displace the weight.. We found a few pieces of press board but they snapped under the load.. I also tried sinking the tire into sand and winching out off of that.. I ended up breaking the chain I was using.. But all turned out good.. Now I just have to deal with all the crap talking that Im going to get..

Xterras are just to darn heavey for soft sand.. I have to air down to about 12 PSI to get up some speed in sand, next mod, snorkel and winch..

You seem to have a little thing for getting stuck in sand
