when buying wheels, how do you check to see if they are true and round before mounting tires? especially if you are buying from 2 different places.

hypothetically, i could see an ugly back and forth with the tire guy saying its the wheel and the wheel guy saying its the tires- besides, they wont take back wheels that have been mounted.

mount them on an open diff and spin.

or mount them on a tire balancer and spin.

if they are out of true in new form, they can be corerected with weights when balancing, but I still wouldn't buy them.
