I was thinking of these as an alternate to my primary tires. I guess I'm looking for something that will fill in the gaps of what my toyo open country ATs dont do. Any other suggestions are welcome but would really like info on this tire.

One thing about this tire is that it is directional, so I would imagine it would wear a little faster than say the BFG Mudd terrain because you cant cross them when you rotate.

Well what I'm wondering is my toyo's are great on sand and I want something for mud other than the typical mudders.

Have you looked into the Toyo MT? I just ordered some for my X in a 285-70-17. Some of my buddies run them on their Hummer and F150 and really like them on and off road.

The Toyo MT's in load range E are too hard of a tire compound on rocks for my truck. In sand and mud they do about as well as BFG MT's.

Otherwise they are quiet, and wear well.
