Any one finding the white lettering on the Bridgestone's a bit light? That is those that are running their lettering outside.

It seems to me that the lettering isn't as quite as pronounced as the lettering on other tires.

And that's bad how? I saw some on a Jeep today and was thinking the white lettering looked great and much better than other white lettered tires, but I couldn't figure out why.

Nothing bad about it. It's just I run BFG's on my big truck and I previously ran Goodyear Wranglers on my other truck, and the lettering on those seemed darker - i.e. easier to see when driving down the road.

I love the white lettering look, and try to preserve it as much as possible. Just looks like the lettering on the 265/75 tires I put on the X are real light and quicker to be hidden by dirt, mud, etc.

On a related note, has anybody found a tire dressing that doesn't turn white lettering beige?

Just keep that stuff away from your wheels, it's harsh!

Simple Green blew me away! Didn't really get the black that dark, but the letters popped! I was just trying to clean baked on clay-mud off the rims and rubber, but that was a pleasant surprise...

Yep, Simplegreen is what I use too, I find it great! I just use it with a small scrub brush on the tires and they're like new again, even the lettering.

Yes, you did, but isn't that a cleaner, not a tire dressing? I'm referring to the ones that give the tire a 'wet look.'

Simple Green is excellent for cleaning the tires and lettering. Put a little Comet on the brush when you do the letters and they'll really pop out. Probably best not to do that every time as it may scrub the white right off.
