Hi.. I just bought 4 new tires for my 2002 Xterra SE Supercharged and they were supposed to give a better ride but not happy with them at all they are Good Year Triple Treds 265/65/17...They seem to make the truck ride worse and gas mileage has been lost due to them... Anyone have any suggestions on a better tire to buy?? I'm looking for a smooth and quiet riding tire... Thanks....

Check your tire pressure. Mine is supposed to be at 28 psi, but the tire shop cranked it to 40. It was riding like a skateboard until I let out some air.

If that doesn't work, Michelin makes some of the smoothest riding tires.

If you go to discount tire they should offer you good options.

Another option is to find somebody who wants to trade for your 17's. 16's (with smooth tires) will ride even smoother at the correct pressure.
