I was driving through some deep snow and my ABS light came on. Is this a mere coincidence or is this a bigger problem? I read about a recall on the 01's for the ABS. Could this be related?

i had same problem,it would go on and off at times..turned out to be bad sensor in wheel...the abs computer remembers the code that set it off.you can take it to the dealer even if its off now and it tells them what went wrong

I wouldn't worry about it much if you were in deep snow. Myself & several others in our club have had it pop on after running through some mud holes. You probably just packed some snow up on the sensor.

It will turn off on it's own after the snow melts off. If not, then I would get it looked into. Mine stayed on until I went through a water hole that washed the mud off.

Thankyou for the information. In fact by morning the ABS light went out and has not been back.
