I was talking to a guy who works at 4 Wheel Parts in Houston, and he said that he would recommend the Pro Comp MTs over the BFG MTs. He said that the Pro Comps have siping for better wet traction and are just as good on the trail. Any comments/ideas about that?

Ask him how many plies they have.

I didn't know they were siped, but I do know that the BFG's have 1 more ply than the ProComps.

My BFG MT's have very good wet traction better than the long trails had.

Yeah, I was thinking about the plies thing, and he said something about the materials the plies were made of...he didn't specify what the difference was, but he acted like the Pro Comps were just as strong.

i thought about both the pro comp MTs and the BFG MIs before deciding on the 32" super swamper TSLs. from what i've heard the swampers are much louder than both the pro comps or the BFGs but the noise hasn't really bothered me thus far. i just got back from a 9hr drive from D.C. to Kentucky and was satisfied with the ride. i know swampers don't wear as good as most tires, but i plan on buying a set of new rims in the next month or so and switch back to my long trails for road trips. anyways, just something to think about, i also got my swampers for less than i could find the pro comps or BFGs.
