I have recently been thinking about getting new rims and tires. I am trying to research what would be the best option for me. What I really want to do is give my 2000SE a tougher look, by getting a lift and bigger tires. I dont really off-road too much, I just want to get away from the STOCK look. What do I need to do? Body lift and 16" rims? I want to try to stay economical as possible. I would appreciate any tips.

Well, I'm sure some people will come on here and try and talk you away from the lift, but I had one on my Xterra and loved it! It gives it the look that you're most likely looking for. I kept the stock 15 inch rims on the X and just put some 32" Uniroyal Laredo M/T's on it. I wanted to eventually get some wider rims, to beef it up even more, but that never happend. Oh well, good luck anyways!

If you want to look tough go with a 2" body lift from AC, 16 tires (I like the stock grey four spoke) and go with Nitto Terra grabbers in the 33x11x16 size. They will fit. Will require some triming but running 31's on your stock set up will require that.

Why I am telling you this I don't know, probably has to do with the lack of funds right now our this would be my street set up.
