Today at lunch I went to the grocery store and in the parking lot was a red xterra just like mine. I parked next to it and went in. On returning, the owner of the other X was loading her groceries. It was a woman about 50. She asked if I had any problems with mine and I said no. She said she had 137k miles and only thing wrong was the fan only worked on high. Then she said she loved her's xterra. The best part was the NIN sticker on the back window.

I had to share that story.

Did you tell her to replace her blower motor resistor, to help alleviate that fan problem???

Yep. The fan issue is a $10/10 minute fix. Very simple to do.

I've had my truck now for almost 5 years and just did the same just this last weekend for the first time (only under different conditions - not at a grocery store). Unfortunately when I returned, the other silver X was gone. Oh well. Guess you had a "moment"! wink

I told her it was probably just the switch.

I've seen the truck around town before. Maybe I will run into her again.

Unless she looked like Heather Locklear, I don't think she would be classified as "a cutie".

Sorry, I can't comment on the cuteness.

I'm just north of Cincinnati.

They just put a woman who is a drop dead twin for HL (w/ cankles) in the office next to mine.. She's real pleasant, but sharp as a pound of wet liver.

A 50 year old woman listens to NIN?

Amazing!

Yeah, NIN! That's what surprised me.

I don't know anything about cankles. I had to look it up too.

Let me get this straight. So far in this thread you've covered two X's at a grocery store, a blower motor and switch, cankles (definition and picture included), NIN, and a possible cougar running around just north of Cincy in a red X. I love this forum. [LOL]

Yeah, I get a chuckle out of the tangents these posts go to. But a cougar? I didn't get that one? But I used to live in Chandler too.

Cougar - Noun. A 35+ year old female who is on the "hunt" for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities) waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path.

That pretty much sums of cougar. I didn't come up with that, though; it was googled.

I just moved to Chandler from Cleveland. Looks like we swapped states!
