i got my 00 on friday and the cd player doesn't work. i tried burned initially b/c it was all i had at the moment, and it spit it out. then i tried a reg store bought cd and it spit it out too...it blinks track 1 like, 3 times and then spits out the disc. has anyone else had this problem or know anything about it? i hope the lens isnt busted, but not sure....is there a reset button on the radio/cd player anywhere? thanks

I think you'll have to do as ChuckH suggested to someone else to reset the system - either pull the fuse in the engine compartment or disconnect the battery.

What about a tape dck on the 00 SE stereo that acts similarly? Will a pulled fuse/system reset help solve it?

hey hawk....i'll trade you my tape deck (works) and cd player (doesn't work) for your cd player if it works w/ a non working tape deck lol...how long do i need to leave the battery disconnected for? i had it done for at least 5 mins yesterday and when i reconnected it i still had my preset stations and the clock was still set frown im goin to look in the engine compartment right now and will let ya know how it works out

Hawk, I figure you don't have much to lose by pulling the fuse other than your radio presets. I have to admit that in the 4 1/2 years that I've owned my X, I've never actually put a cassette in my stereo, so I don't know if mine even works. Hehe.

lol...The only reason I use my tape deck is to run a tape adapter from my Ipaq to my stereo to play MP3s. Other than that, I don't think I even own a cassette tape anymore...
