Dose any one know the air volume behind the 6x9s? the reason i ask is i am in sreach of getting more bass out of my system, and i just saw on crutch field's web site that RF has 6&3/4 drivers that take up like no air volume. i was thinking of getting some spray foam sound deadener and mounting those woofers in the 6x9 location. good idea or bad idea?

I keep promising to measure it and getting sidetracked. From what I saw on drivers side, it was at least 3/4 a cubic foot. Not sure about pass side, I would measure separately because passenger has a vent too I think.

So do you think that putting a pair of those small subbies back in place of the 6x9s will sound good? knowing that i will have to make back there air tight... eric

Since I haven't sealed it up yet (with the factory 6x9's) I don't know how they perform.. they might actualy be good enough by themselves for many people...

I always have to refer to my last car, but the camaro I had before was 6" all the way around, and was much much better than anything I've ever heard in a car, incluing the newer Xterra systems. It was engineered by bose, and had whimpy 6" front speakers, but the rear passenger 6" were pretty hefty, and the sub way in the back was 3rd order in a weird shaped plastic enclosure - but definitely played down to 40 Hz.
