I'll be getting my new Terk XM Commander in next week hopefully. I know where I want to try to mount it, but just wondering how many other people here have it and where they have installed it on an 02+. I plan on mounting it below the AC knobs. Thanks!

I mounted my Commander in front of the shifter on the console. I used velcro to secure it in case I need to place it under the seat for wandering eyes!!

I'm thinking of the same install location for my XM Commander in my 02 Terra. How do you plan on mounting the display panel? I am thinking of popping off the outside 'hole' on the dash bezel under the ac controls and using a Pro Fit XM Commander Bug mount and routing the cables though the hole to the head unit and control unit. If there is enough space with the bug I may try to mount the bug under the bezel only leaving the arms exposed so I can detach the control panel and hide it away from those that want my XM.

I'm thinking that I'm going to try to cut an opening big enough to fit it in the space between the AC and Stereo. We'll see what happens. Would like for it to look as stock as possible. There is enough space to recess it in there with some detailed work.

--edit - Got it in the mail Saturday!! Man that was some fast shipping! Got it off of ebay for $101 shipped, Crutchfield is like $160 not shipped.

Sounds like you got the same XM Commander I did off eBay. Mine was 101 total with shipping. Got the comformation today so hopefully I'll see mid week. Way cheaper than Crutchfield. Look forward to having a great radio instead of this local excuse for radio!
